The kufiya, also known as keffiyeh, hatta or shemagh, is a traditional Palestinian scarf with deep cultural and political roots. Originally worn by farmers and Bedouins for protection from sun, wind and sand, it became a global symbol of Palestinian identity, resilience and solidarity in the 20th century.
